Benjamin Moser

Benjamin Moser is the author of Why This World: A Biography of Clarice Lispector and the General Editor of the new translations of Clarice Lispector in English. For his work reviving Lispector’s work all over the world, the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Relations awarded him the First State Prize in Cultural Diplomacy. Moser is the founder of the Daily Action Book Club, created to educate activists in the heritage of resistance and social change in the wake of the American elections. A columnist for The New York Times Book Review, he is completing the authorized biography of Susan Sontag. Born in Houston, Texas, in 1976, he divides his time between the Netherlands and France, and is a frequent visitor to (and sometime resident of) Venice.
